Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G launched in India at Rs 11,100

Samsung has expanded its 4G lineup in India with the launch of the new Galaxy Grand Prime. Priced at Rs 11,100, it is available in white, grey and gold colour options. The device will compete with the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 4i, the latest Moto G and others that fall in similar price bracket.

The Galaxy Grand Prime sports a 5-inch qHD TFT display with 560 x 960 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The dual SIM smartphone comes with 8GB onboard storage, expandable up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

On the camera front, one can expect an 8-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.  The connectivity options include 3G, 4G, GPS with GLONASS, microUSB port. With the launch of this device, Samsung has extended its 4G portfolio to 14 models. The 4G LTE device supports both TDD and FDD bands.

The device weighs 156 grams and measures 144.8 x 72.1 x 8.6 mm. The device runs the latest Android Lollipop 5.1 along with a layer of Samsung’s proprietary Touch Wiz user interface. A 2,600mAH battery promising up to 14 hours of talk time completes the package.
